Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing between Associations of Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia
First Step towards ASEAN Gift Federation

| 20 October 2010, Mr. Jirabool Vittayasing [Middle] Honorable President of Thai Gifts Premiums & Decorative Association,Mr. Alan Ong, President of Malaysian Gifts And Premium Entrepreneur Association (MGPA) [Right] and Mr. Frankie Chia, President of Singapore Gifts Association (SGA) [Left] signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on ASEAN gift cooperation. The objective of the MOU was to attract ASEAN countries to jointly accelerate the growth of the gift industry. The signing was followed by a round table meeting with purpose to ensure the foundation of ASEAN Gifts Federation and to promote the economic collaboration among the seven ASEAN countries. The signing ceremony was recently held at BITEC, Bangna, Bangkok and witnessed by Ms. Porntiwa Nakasai, Minister of Commerce of Thailand.
One of the main AGENDA of the cooperation is the ASEAN Gifts Exhibition to be held at each country on rotation basis. MGPA will lobby to organize the 1st ASEAN Gifts Exhibition in Malaysia. This exhibition will encompass Minister and ASEAN gifts association members' meetings as well as business forum and seminars.
